A good job would be working in a library. You could also work as a dogwalker, babysiter, lawn care, helping someone in the family at a home business, sell on ebay, or work in a clothing store. You could sell something you are good at, such as making jewelry or baking. You could sell brownies or cakes. You could sell crafts. You can sell things on consignment. There are so many things that you can do, there are alot of things you can do that it doesn't mater what your age is. Good Luck, Dear

Jobs For Kids Under 13

It all depends on what is in the area for a child that young. When I was 13, I worked 2 days a week in a comic book store but I wasn't paid money I was paid in merchandise. When I was 14 I had a job with the local penny saver paper and I delivered the papers to homes. It didn't pay much but it was something. There is always baby sitting and yard work. For the yard work you would have to go door to door and ask them if they have anything they need done. I would suggest that you have an adult with you doing this for safety reasons. For the baby sitting you can ask relatives and friends of your parents. Wish you lots of luck.

There are plenty of jobs a 13/14 year old can do - just not jobs that require the filing of a any state and federal paperwork. (Babysitting, lawn/garden maintenance, etc...) The age restrictions are part of child labor laws which prevent companies from taking advantage of children. These laws were created in response to the horrible factory conditions prevalent during the early part of the industrial era.

When I was that age, I found the best way to make money was to work on a farm for the summer. I picked everything from blueberries to apples. It allowed me to be outside and enjoy the sun while making some easy money.
