I cant get programs to show up on my taskbar?

i clicked something wrong and now when i open up a program it wont show up there. i need to go to task manager to open up a minimized program. please help!

I ran into this problem as well. I assume your task bar is there.
1. basics--make sure taks bar isn't locked. select and deselect tool bars when you right click.
2. go to task manager (right click in taskbar) end process explorer.exe (in the processes tab)
then go to file tab in task manager and run it. this may resolve the problem.
3. Also, check to make sure the veriticle dotted lines aren't pushed together. try dragging them to adjust space for stuff in taskbar.
4. go to http://www.kellys-korner-xp.com/xp_tweaks.htm.
click on line 240. that is what finally did it for me.

otherwise, when the minimised windows disappear use alt tab to switch between windows.
