My sister has been suffering from ME for 6 years. She has tried most of the remedies that have been recommended over the years but she is still bedbound. She is easily tired and can not walk because of this. Are there any people out there that have had ME and what did you use to get better?

as a qualified homeopath i ahve treated a few people and observed others with this condition. i have found that it is usually linked in with emotional tihngs in some way so that if these are resolved to a degree then the codition can be improoved. go see a good homeopath and see what they say, managed to egta 13 year old boy that was bed bound active again but was hard work and were times when he would rather stay where he was than face what he needed to. for a list of good homeopaths contact the lakeland college of homoepathy and you will usually find there is one from here not too far away. they ahve a web site just put the college in a search engine.
where there is a will there is a way.
Also there is suppliment called co enzyme q10 which helps the cells of the body to function beytter and produce more energy you may find that this helps though would need to take for a least 6 months to get significant improvment. see if you can find her a therapistthat she gets on with though as often having this and the knowledge that they ahve and the support of bothi them and remedies can be brilliant, just the talking can help as the emotions put on top from the frustration etc just compound it all so clearing some of this would be a great help, and from small things come great tihngs.
Good luck.

As far as I know there is no cure. However, research is demonstrating that the most effective approaches are those that combine managing both the physical and psychological components of ME. Effective approaches are those that support the person to make small, graded steps that help to overcome the vicious cycles that inevitably result from the exhaustion experienced by ME sufferers. These vicious cycles are in the areas of sleep, diet, social life, productivity/work. There are specialist NHS services that offer these approaches to adults and young people. She needs to ask her GP for a referral.

Dr. John R. Christopher was a master herbalist. I attend his school of natural healing. He has outlined a program for incurrable people. He also states that there are no incurrable diseases only incurable people because they are simply not willing to do what it takes.

His incurable program is a wonderful wholistic process that will work if you do it properly. I have included a link in the souces box where you can read some of it. Scroll to the bottom and read the testimonials. It is in a book for for very cheap..less than 5 dollars from Christopher publications.

I don't know about finding a cure, per se, but I found out how to make it worse.....learning different languages. It was hard enough for this dyslexic before I started with farsi, arabic, kurdish, spanish, french, somali, etc.... but now I can barely read at all.

No cure yet but an Osteopath called Raymond Perrin has developed a treatment protocol that has been having some quite remarkable results. Google for him..

Look at www.reverse-therapy.com. I trained in this therapy in London last year and am successfully treating clients with ME, I had been a Nurse practitioner prior to this and had become aware of the true nature of Dis-ease and the limitations of western medicine when my friend successfully recovered from ME through this therapy I knew they had something special. The majority of those I trained with had recovered from ME through this therapy and as testimony to its effectiveness have become therapists. Tell your sister there is light at the end of the tunnel and she can be symptom free. Best wishes Jacq

No. This condition is a fairly recently recognised one, and despite a lot of research, there is so far no cure available.
