Spouse is always your FIRST priority. This often causes problems with parents because they want to be the first priority but if anyone feels that their parent is more important then their spouse, they shouldnt be married.

First priority is God ,spouse,children and then parents.Charity begins at home.If your parents are in need don't ever turn your back on them.The spouse would be in the wrong for wanting you to.Now there are some cases that parent abuse the help,and you tell them no. I also want to add that the Lord wants us to try and help whoevers in need that comes in our path.

I believe that once you leave your parents home and get married that your first responsibility is to your spouse. That doesn't mean that you still can't be there for your parents if they need something. As long as they don't try to control your life after you are married.

When you take your vows, your spouse becomes first, and your parents know this even though they don't want to except it. You shouldn't be in situations where you need to make a choice, so, let both your parents and spouse know this.

because that is the order in which they came, no one one gets left behind but their is a divine order for everything! when the children get grown and begin to leave here is the order
children leave - college, social life. marriage
spouse- divorce death him/her
self
why not everybody wants to be put first when you did not come first.
