They all measure the levels of HCG in your urine. If youv'e just missed your period then your best bet is to do this first thing in the morning when the levels are at there highest. A doctor can do a blood test which can test eariler for HCG in your blood. As far as the peeing on a stick goes, its no better to take it at the doctors or at home. I bought a test at the dollar store and it came out just as positive as the one at the doctors. For the record, I know there are a few people that have talked about having a blood test standard at the doctors anyways, this is my second pregnancy and they have never done it that way.

if they use a pregnancy test kit at the clinic, then, no, they are not more precise. if they do a blood test though, thats a different story- blood tests are usually much more precise that an urine test. by all means, do ask what kind of pt they are using. good luck.

The urine test are more reliable at a doctors office or clinic, but like all they may still have flaws. So if one does come up positive tell a doctor they will take your blood and give an ultrasound to see how far along you are if they think you are.

They are the same. You can order cheap pregnancy tests on the net ,even on ebay, if you are trying for a baby. The store ones tend to be more expensive. So once you think you are pregnant with your own test, you need to visit the doc anyway, who usually performs the urine ( more likely) / blood test,to test the level of HCG.

The quick urine pregnancy tests that doctor's use are basically identical to those you can buy in the store. The blood test, however, is the most accurate test you're going to get.

Usually you will get a blood test in a clinic or doctor's office, so, yes, they are more precise.

They are, and thats because they test your blood levels, and with a home test, it is testing the ammount of pregnancy hormone in your body, which , sometimes at the beggining of the pregnancy, it is so little the ammount you are producing, and the test can not detect it.........

They're all the same. Except if you buy a test and take it home your results are all yours to share. if you go to the clinic, someone already knows before you do.
