What would be the best way to secure our borders?

I personally feel that there should be either a wall or strong three level fencing on every inch of our border both north and south. This is the only way we can truely secure our borders.

A triple fence along the entire border. Use high tech devices.

Better trained and definitely higher paid Border Patrol Agents. They don't make squat. Lower paid cops is asking for corruption.

$10K fines if you employ an illegal worker. Jail time for repeat offenders.

Life time ban from any chance of legal immigration for all illegals caught in the US. Collect DNA and fingerprints from all detainees to determine identity.

Certainly there should. There are areas where there is a fence, and then nothing. I am a fat, old man and I cd climb over most of the fencing I have seen. Mexico, on it's southern border, has very severe barriers. It is clear to them that they cannot allow
Central and South America to empty into Mexico. This debate is not about poor people. We can't take care of them all! Could you care for 100 people in yr house? Due to global warming, it is going to be more difficult to grow crops in the US. With 60 million more mouths to feed, most without a high school education, we will collapse! Our hospitals will close, as some already have! Our schools are already over whelmed!
No country in history but us ever hesitated to defend it's borders. Congress and the president have gone back on their oaths to uphold the constitution- read it yrself and see! They have broken their oaths!!
Private citizens may have to build the fence, as our government has forsworn its responsiblities. The Conservatives have signed a statement not to support any candidate, including Bush (although he is not running) who supports amnesty for illegals. This is our survival at stake, and I am an extreme liberal, but I want the US to survive, and not just the internatonally invested super rich, who are a citizen of money and wealth and no nation.

The best way is to build a wall. The Republican governors candidate for Arizona surmised a wall across this states Mexican border would cost $1 billion; and it would save them $2.4 billion a year they spend on illegal alliens...sounds like a return on investment even a liberal could love :)

We here in the UK are surrounded by water, we cannot prevent illegals from coming in.

I personally believe that we should place a "bounty" of say £1000,payable for every illegal produced at a police station. This could be funded by a fine of £5000 against any one found employing/housing or sheltering an illegal

National ID. One that identifies you as a US citizen or a legal alien. If you dont' have one, you can't work, and you'll get deported. It would solve the illegal immigrant problem tomorrow.
