Maybe because black is the color of fascism, especially the italian fascists... But I dont associate colors with politics. Black color show women slimmer than they are. It is not gothic. We can even call it aristocratic. Whoever calls it gothic must be idiotic. That is all to it.... No... no.....nooooo... I am not being poetic...

It’s a sad truth, but truth anyway! Most people fear what they do not understand, and project what they fear most. In other words, it is much easier to see everyone who might wear black as Gothic, and/or bad, rather than take the time to get to know such people. Furthermore, since black has been associated with negativity of all sorts (i.e. Death); people place youngsters who wear black in the same pile to make things easier for them.

I think it is because they aren't willing to take the time to get to know the person behind the cloths. My daughter went through a goth/grundge stage and a lot of her friends were extreemly nice and very creative types. They just all liked to dress differently from everyone else and that was ok with me. They were very fun and caring people, if you took the time to get to know them.
Many people are blinded by prejudice. They look at a book but don't take the time to actually read it, so to speak.

I don't know either. Some of my friends wear black and they are not gothic. They are into the arts ya know.

because people are bullies, and they will always try to find something to pick on someone for. They feel insecure about themselves, so they find someone else to bring down to build themselves up
we don't take the time to know anyone and actually ask if u are goth.... thats why we do it... and we think its funny to tell you the truth
