I am the parent of a teenager and a preteen so you probably don't want to even read this but I don't think your parents think you're stupid. I think they are just joking around and don't realize that they're making you think that or hurting your feelings.
If you can talk to them, try that. Just tell them that you know they may not realize it, but by saying stuff like that it's really bothering you. Good luck and remember you're not stupid. You're a smart, unique individual who has a lot to offer this world no matter what anyone says, ever!!

My father always gave me a hard time because I was a C avg student. Overlook them! You are who you are and be the best at that and the rest will fall into place. You can do whatever you put to mind and is in your heart and no one can hold you back on that!

this is the regular dialogue every parent used to say. Dont worry. even they were also like that.No one is born with original brain. take the examples of Albert Einstein, galelio etc.,

YEAH!!!! my parents call me stupid and a dumb a$$ all the time... so does my older brothers and younger sister..... the only person that actually believes in me is my older sister and she is 21... how sad

Always my dad Will not let me get the mail he says i may hurt my self when i open the mail box...... his mail comes thru the slot in the front door...
