The property information available on the MLS is simply basic information given for properties for sale. This website IS available to the public. You can go to www.realtor.com and find any home on the MLS nationwide.
If you are looking for the value of the home, a good website that was given earliers is a good one www.zillow.com. Keep in mind that these values are simply estimations which are + or - $10's or $20's of thousands of dollars off the correct value.
If you are looking for more specific information like the title of the property you can visit a title company or the County recorder's office.

If you have not seen the house, I don't think there are web sites that give details about a house, on the market or not. Realtors have passwords to access MLS. This is not open to the public. You can contact any realtor in Iowa, city, and you will have to give them your address and phone. Then they will contact you and give you info on any property listed in MLS.
If this is for sale by owner, you can contact the owner directly.

i don't know about the website that you're talking about but another website that gives information of homes is www.zillow.com. But, some homes are not shown on the site.
