Sometimes technical things turn out to be easier than you think. I managed to build a computer. Anyway, I've got a Quad hifi system which is aging. A lot of people upgrade their amps with new op-amps etc, although I have no experience of this. I've read quad blogs and other websites, but it looks somewhat complicated. Is it?

If it is an expensive amp.you can go through it,replacing capacitors etc with expensive types of the same value,Black Gate spring to mind, but to be honest it is hard and you`d have to be emotionally attached to it to contemplate this. Why not just trade it in for a better system?
