MY GRANDFATHER WHO IS RETIRED ARMY AND RECEIVING VA DISABILITY FOR BEING MENTALLY UNSTABLE ACTUALLY GOT A CONCEALED WEAPONS PERMIT IN FLORIDA,, HOW DID THIS HAPPEN

that is not up to florida but up too the fbi. they did a background check on him and the mental problem wasn't on record. if you are concerned call your local fbi office and they will have it revoked it will go on file and he will have to give up his permit.also he will never be allowed to own a hand gun again. problem solved.

That's incredible. It really makes you wonder what sort of "background checks" are done. But then again, it just goes to show why we're in such a mess in the US where guns and violence are concerned.
