It seems to be the same old story with Spain. They always have a good team but just seem to always lack self belief for some reason.

First of all, it WAS the coaches fault that this problem started, but i dont think anyone can blame the spain team, because they did try really really hard to defeat the france, but in the end, france caught up with adrenaline, and i read responses from spains players ; all of them had to do with looking at the bright side, that france deserved to win with there teamwork, so whoever has sh** to talk about the spains players, you better think twice before making any rude comments about them, because if you were out there, i dont think you would even be able to stay as a team, and try to score as A team. AND YES, spain has some of the worlds best frontmens, and strikers, it was just unfortunate that they didnt win this time, i was very disappointed like many people who were routing for spain. but its over, so we might as well go along with the flow.

Seems to me that the Spanish team liked a more settled, slower game as seen in their win over Saudi Arabia. The French forced a much faster tempo, which wasn't how the Spanish liked to play. Also, the French defense shut down Torres effectively, leaving a less experienced Villa to try to score. I think France was also motivated by the fact that it may have been the last time they got to see their long time superstar, Zidane, play.

There main problem is the arrogance of the Spanish media. After the first match in the group stage all the headlines said: "Campeones" (champions). That's just too much pressure to deal with...

Bunch of losers and chronic underachievers.
Just look at the best Spanish clubs - like Real or Barca - they have mostly foreign players...

Spain always does bad in the World Cups. I guess they are either overconfident or underconfident. I think are overconfident. I was rooting for France, because of the racist stuff.
