Because they can. If I was a mother and my child was acting like a fool and running around and bunping into you, you'd glare at me and wonder why I can't control my kid. But the moment I go to spank them, you glare more. People who wonder about these questions don't have children!!!!

Wal-Mart has a poisonous atmosphere. I know I want to slap at least one of their employees every time I go in there.

Why do you care so much? Do you have any kids. I dont think spanking is acceptable but if someone else does it thats not my problem. Just take care of your shopping and let the strassed moms be.
