I agree with JAMES M. Our government (this administration) is using our ignorance concerning basic rights, and the power to change things against us. Our government disregards the basic rights of others (confinement and torture), invades our privacy without permission, and soils the meaning of democracy through its occupying tactics through out the rest of the world. Meanwhile, we're told it is for our protection. We're not being protected, we're being controlled. This is not life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness, this is simply taking advantage of your supposed own.

it's not new, but over the last six years has been refined to an art. When the government tells everyone that the economy is strong, The war is going well, and the fuel prices will go down.
When in fact, the interest rate is rising and more companies are laying people off, the war is getting worse, and the fuel prices are still going up.
By the way, when they say that unemployment has dropped, they are going by the number of people receiving unemployment benefits, not the number of those who have used up their benefits and as a result have been dropped from the rolls. They might still be unemployed, but don't show up on any ones spreadsheet.
