ran into the same problem out of college. the best way to get into the door is to go to a temp agency work for. then get a job with a company and stay there if you do good you can get hired on perminitaly. OR get esperiance at mutiple companies doing multiple things till you resume is somthing people can show others.

You will find that many times employers are tired of wasting their resources on people who either don't want to work or who quit after getting a couple of good paychecks.

Also requiring 2 years of experience is a way that employeers can weed out the deadbeats. If you approach employers with the right attitude and demeanor, you will get that job.

You have to start at the bottom. Either you are looking at the wrong places for jobs or you need to start looking for internships. Alot of companies usually get their no experience people out of college from the placement office at the college. It's tougher to find a job with no experience from a newspaper.

I work in HR and most of the time workers need exp. some times they will if you have a workers permit and show that you will work. You have to bug them for a job if they see you come in all the time and want to know the status of your app. then they will more then likely call on you. You have to be well dressed too. I started in HR when i was 18. B/C of my mother but i landed my second job in HR because of my appearance and knowledge. Show you will work and it will pay off.

Because the young man ain't got nothin' in the world these days. You know, in the old days, when the young man was a strong man, all the people, they'd step back when the young man walked by. But now, if you're the young man, you ain't got nothin' in the world these days.

most jobs who wants experience on the job actually do require specific skills / experience.... so you cant expect them to hire people who just get out of school to be able to do it effectively. And sometimes, when they do give a change for young people to do intern....they refused to cause the pay is too low / none.

My personal experiences with young people is that they are chronically late, they think partying is more important than showing up. They either act dumb or are just plain lazy. They can't think on their feet. They want to know "what's in in for me" They want the wages their parents make without putting the time in to gain the experience and respect. They are not self-motivated they have to be told everything that needs to be done step by step and have their hand held the whole time. It is exhausting trying to train them.

It's a tricky situation, isn't it? Most companies don't want to have to provide training for newbies when they can hire some with experience instead. You just have to be persistent.

well without experience they can't trust you, that is why i am going to get an internship before i graduate from college, that way i would use that as my experience. Good Luck.

Thy won't let us because they think we don't know what we're doing even if we do, the employers don't think were trustworthy enough to work for them.
