Whatever makes people laugh, which I think breaks down to three basic types; physical comedy, cleverness/word play, and surprise/twist. I've probably missed a category. Maybe, in this day and age, foul/disgusting should have its own category.
Many times, when in the midst of the daily grind, a quick pun will break the tension and get big laughs. At the pace many of us live, the long joke is losing its place in oral history and has moved to the internet - where is usually told quite poorly. And some jokes require visuals, so we've lost that as jokes get e-mailed to a hundred billion inboxes.

The sixth sense.
A kind of craving that is fulfilled by a combination of conventional and/or unconventional ideas.
What happens when you have to let out emotion, and you aren't sure what you feel, or maybe you are, but you are full of multiple feelings and ideas.
And the appreciation of that in others

When something pleases your ego in a subtle way that does not suggest your ego being elevated, but rather, your spirit being recreated.
When there's something that implies the existance of the humored's self.
It's simply the humored's complicated way of saying "me, myself and I"

humor to me is seeing something in way that wasn't thought of before.
you watch stand up comics tell a story and they talk about everyday things but not in the way the regular guy would do it.
