In order to heal, you have to let yourself hurt. The more you allow yourself to feel the hurt you have experiences, the faster you heal.

I don't mean that you should dwell on it. Rather, when you feel yourself hurting, take some time and think about why or what started the feeling. Understand it and then let it go.

Example:

Yesterday, I saw a couple in the 40s driving in a Mustang convertible. When they stopped at the traffic light next to me, the woman reached over stroked her husband's hand. He looked over her and they smiled at each other. It was really nice.

For my part, I felt a terrible sense of loss. I don't have that sort of affection in my life, and may never have it. I had a few tears and thought it through.

Hope this helps.

Pray, pray, pray, and pray some more. Its always going to be something in life to hold on to a little part of whoever caused this pain. Time can only help a little, but your putting forth effort by not being depressed and going in a positive direction with your life should help.

Focus on you for awhile...accomplish a goal you never thought you could. You will feel great and you may decide that you don't need a mate to be happy.

Its one of those things that takes time. Dating someone isnt going to do it, but rather just take some time to get yourself together. Simple as that.
