Because they suck so bad, it's like a black hole in the room. All of the energy goes to them.

That is how they got to be boring in the first place. They dominate all of the conversations, whether they know what they are talking about or not. They do not allow anyone else to talk or express their ideas and opinions, so the conversation becomes one-sided...thus, boring!
There is an old saying that describes it best: Still waters run deep, but shallow water is a babbling brook.

What is boring to one person is not to another. Example my last ff never wanted to learn anything in school, or since she graduated hs. To her just about anything I said was boring. My current gf who lives in Mexico want to learn. She ask questions and is fascinated by history, religion, politics and the human condition.

Interesting people are to busy to talk, because they are enjoying their own internal monologue about the stupidity of the conversation.
