I'm getting married and would like to make my own centerpieces. I have a few ideas, but need help. Does anyone have any unique ideas/directions for a centerpiece?

When I got married, I went to Wal-Mart and I got some fake white roses and colored marbles. (Chose a color that will match your wedding colors. There is a variety of different colors to chose from.) I put the colored marbles in clear, slender vases all the way to the top and put the white roses in them. Then, I got ribbon and tied bows around the vases. They were beautiful centerpieces and I received tons of compliments. Good luck and Congratulations!

What time of year is your wedding? What locally available items can you use? I live near the ocean, so shells & sea glass are going in vases for mine, along with sea heather. A friend got married in spring, and chose to use pussywillows instead of flowers. A restaurant near here takes hollow glass blocks & fills them with white christmas lights, and those look very nice lit up. You could probably do the same with cheaper plexiglas or plastic (sealed with Goop or some other clear silicone product). Good luck & congratulations!

You could try getting some nice glass bowls and filling them with marbles. Or use the same bowls for floating flowers or candles. One thing I did last Christmas- and you could use this too- is bought floral foam and a few baskets, and some nice flowers (I used artificial) and make bouquets like that: The foam is pretty forgiving, as long as you haven't poked it too much.

Congratulations on the wedding!

An old C.D. turned upside (so that artist and song listing are on bottom) and then glue a candle on top of the hole. This makes a beautiful light catching centerpiece.Sprinkle shiny confetti around the base! Placing this on top of a mirror makes it very elegant and sparkling! Congrats! Best Wishes!
