It gets on my nerves, but sometimes local bands and restaurants send you 'friend requests' so you can see their deals or concert dates. I wish there was a way you could go in there and delete those 'friends' you have no idea who they are or never talk to them.
Otherwise, those people who have like over 500 friends are deperate and need to get out more...

My son has tons of friends on myspace.com; he's NOT a loser, I'd rather him have friends through the internet, than to be friends with all the drug addict friends in our local community!!!!!! He loves to meet young ladies all over the world through myspace, check him out @Brendon Baxter and hit search....

well when i used to have a myspace i had alot of friend its only took me like 2 months to get to 500.... i think some people just wanna look popular but i know every 1 tht r my friend and trust me i aint no looser

I think they probably don't even know half of those people, but they let them add them as friends because they want to look like they have so many friends.

i think some are just being competitve, while some are trying to get their art out there...myself i dont have many friends on my space but i am real picky...
