Make a citrus oil concoction. You will need 1 pint water, grated rind of 1 lemon, cheesecloth, and a pump spray bottle. Bring the water to a boil. Remove from heat and add the grated lemon rind. Let it steep overnight. Strain through the cheesecloth, and pour into the spray bottle. Apply this mixture directly on the ants. This will keep them away for a while but they might come back. Just use it again. Since it smell so good, you won't mind. This will also get rid of aphids and other soft-bodied insects, but you must spray directly on the bugs. Since I garden totally organic, I use no chemicals on anything in my garden or in my house. I always try to be friendly to our environment. It need all the help that we can give it. I hope this helps.

Ants dont eat tomato's you have some other bug infestation. Look on the bottoms of the leaves and see if there is anything there. The tomato hornworm will eat the leaves and also the fruit itself. They look like a catapiller with a big horn on its head. You should be able to recognize it when you see it. I use Bug-B Gon and it comes in a spray and powder.

Sevin is a good all purpose chemical for use on vegetables. If you're going green (organic) then I would look for a product containing Neem Oil. Just be sure to read label directions thoroughly.

you would possibly want to easily go away them on my own. Ants are not commonly a topic contained in the backyard. each from time to time they farm aphids yet in case you administration the aphids effectively then they gained't manage to try this and in the period in-between the ants will be eating many different insects contained in the backyard including some that are pests.

First, I would water everything well, including the leaves.
That may slow the immediate damage.

Find the mound and put Raid ant killer on it.
On the plant sprinkle soapy water and then 7-dust.

I think that there is a spray for that. I also think it doesn't harm your plants. I'm not sure though.
