Late hours at the office working, or maybe they were out drinking and the office was within walking distance and they didn't want to drive home drunk. Or maybe they could be sleeping around on their spouse.

As someone who has done this repeatedly in the last month, let me answer why I have:

1. My daughter gets up in the middle of the night and so do I (she's 7 months). 2. I have no real contact with other people, just a computer. 3. My job includes a lot of wait time in which I can't really do anything but sit there and stare at the computer.
