With the 5000 that covers my apartment , but I only have a little left, I still need to pack up the old place and get it moved, plus, gas to get there(10 hour drive) should I ask for more?

Well the most imprtant thing would be how are you gonna get your things to your new location? if you move your things and drive you can probably get away cheaper than having someone move you but its more stess. You will have to pay to have your place cleaned. the last would be your expences to get there. To know better I would be on the safe side and ask the company.

Any expensed related to the move. Furniture moving, temporary accomodations, meals while on the road, and perhaps security deposits on a apartment. Some will even make a down payment on a house. Some will pay the difference in the cost of a house in the new location and the selling price of your current home.
It all depends on what you ask for and what they are willing to pay. Make sure this is all clear before you accept the job.

it depends on the company's policies on movinf expenses.

the companies i have worked for had details of what was covered.
the move had to be over certain mileage, they'd reimburse for expenses instead of just a check.
so, they'd reimburse you for gas receipts, truck rentals, hotel stays, etc....

sometimes you can get out of your lease if you provide documentation to the rental office of your job move....it's hit and miss...they usually accomodate people they like or that were good tenants. plus, time of year has to do with it too. if you're moving out during a time they will be able to re-rent quickly, then they may let you out of it.

good luck.
