the best and cheapest way would be to use some denture cleaner, the effevesent kind of tabs that bubble up. after growing tired of continually taking my jewelry to the jewelers to be cleaned the owner of the store told me this little trick. it is inexpensive and safe for your jewelry...

You can buy an ultrasonic jewelry cleaner for like $20. It's the same kind they use at jewelers and it cleans all kinds of jewelry and removes tarnish from everything and restores dull gemstones to shine brighter even than when you first got it (even the fake stones).

I use warm water and a toothbrush. Gently scrubbing dirt and dust off of the metal and gemstone. Dry with a cotton dishtowel.
