The game is actually quite popular in South America and the Carribean. Also, Japan has a rich baseball history. The game is one of strategy and action and requires a great deal of skill. It is also spectator friendly as you can take the family to the ballpark or go with friends and enjoy the sites and sounds of the day and the game.

Going by the turn out at the World Baseball Classic this past spring we realized that baseball isn't just an American sport. Other sports such as soccer may be more common in some countries but I think to say that baseball is not popular anywhere else would be a false statement.

Baseball is popular many other places, but I think maybe that's a bit beside the point. First of all, since it originated in America, it's easiest for us to find it. Second of all, why do you think it's called America's National Pastime?

It started in America. It's also popular in South America. Most of all the good players are from South America, Cuba, or Puerto Rico.
