Where can one find documentation of the working conditions of serfs and peasants in 13-1700s Europe? What did they eat? How long did they work? What did they wear? What were their cultural customs?

I'd start looking on the web at historical sites that recount the lives and conditions of people during your time period. Libraries and bookstores are filled with books that not only discuss this era, but also have great photos of artifacts that archeologists have uncovered.

Sad to say, I think you can also look at some of the underdeveloped countries in our modern world. Afghanistan, Africa, South America, all have communities of people that live without even the simplest vestige of modern culture, electricity, running water, etc.

Good luck on your report. I hope after you gather your information you appreciate all we have in our culture... Oh, and I hope you get a good grade.

I think it is easier to find relative info for workers 2,500 years ago in Greece, than 7 - 3 centuries ago in Europe!
