Even if they somehow managed to vaccinate against every illness, new ones will pop up (or old ones will mutate). Furthermore, some injuries cannot be avoided.
Finally, doctors will always be needed to assist births (complications etc) and the elderly.

PS. You could ask this about ANY career.

what a stupid question, thats not what they do at all, they do work to make people better but even if they treated everyone in the world they wouldnt be out of a job because people get other illnesses and some will last for their whole lives so they always need treatment. Duh!

ever seen a hospital from the inside? go there, go there for a full year and watch. new faces - every day - all of them need med attention. doctors are in high demand, especially specialists (surgery for example).
same can be said for mortitians, too.
