Columbia is the best school in NYC -- and one of the best in the country. NYU is close behind. While some of the other schools (like Fordham) are good -- they are nowhere near as good as those two.

As a Fordham grad I would be remiss if I did not endorse Fordham.
First, is location important to you? Fordham's main campus is in the Bronx near the zoo and the gardens, and it also has a gated campus with green space. There is a Lincoln Center campus, but it's 2 buildings..the dorm and the academic hall.
Of course, the admin stunk, but you'll find that with any bureaucracy.
I highly encourage you to visit the colleges, and ask yourself "can I see myself here for the next 4 years?"
