Sounds like you got a sunburn, no big deal.
It will pass in a couple of days.

Hello! As a skin care technician I suggest you consult with a dermatologist. It sounds like it could be psoriasis, but there are other things it could be that an over the counter product (or an esthetician like myself) couldn't fix. Main questions would be: how long has it been doing this? Do you have a history of psoriasis or any other skin disorder in your family? Is there any itching or pain associated with it? Do you have any other patches on your body? Had you made any changes to the products you were using on your face when it appeared? If there wasn't redness and irritation I'd say that you just need a good old fashioned facial w/emphasis on exfoliating, but since you are red don't scrub it. If you can't get to a dermatologist try using tea tree oil on it- it is great for many skin conditions. It is safe and you can use it as many times a day as you want. and just fyi- if it is psoriasis, there's not much you can do about it but treat the patches since psoriasis is genetic and a result of a trigger, such as stress, causing the immune system to over-react. sorry for the long-winded response, but I've never "answered" anything before and I wasn't sure if I'd easily have the chance to write again. GOOD LUCK!

try a clay mask (preferrably Ahava dead sea mud mask, buy at any CVS, walgreens, etc.). it can peel away dead skin that you dont need anymore, revealing your newer skin. scrubs also work, you can find (and try on) many at bath and body works
but it does sound like a sunburn, which should go away soon. if it is something that has been happening for a while, use the mask. andif your condition worsens, see a dermatologist.

If it hurts then i think you should go to see the doctor, If it has been on your face for more than a week you should go see the doctor. You used something or put something on your face that, and now your skin has broken out with a rash. Was your face everyday with a warm water and keep your skin moist.

Try using a gentle face lotion with an spf of about fifteen. This way the redness will fade because the skin will be less irritated, it will heal, and you will avoid being sunburned again.

If it's due to a sunburn, leave it alone. Most exfoliants and facial cleansers have ingredients that would only make it worse.
If it has nothing to do with a sunburn, you should exfoliate. Swiss St. Ives Apricot Scrub works well.

Sounds like seborrhea dermatitis or rosacea. Go see a doctor or dermatologist. They are the only ones that can give you prescription medication, face wash and/or topical cream
