How many dreams does one usually have in one night? Because, i dont dream every night, but when i do dream, i have between 2 and 7 dreams, back to back to back to back. So, i was wondering if anyone knew the average number of dreams the average person has in one night.

Actually, you do dream every night, you just cannot remember them. The average dream lasts about 5-45 minutes, so how much you usually dream really depends on how long you sleep.

Its been a long time since I've done dream research...
The only input I have is that I know you dream every night. You may not remember them every night, but you always dream if you are having REM sleep.

Six is the average although there is evidence that dreaming can happen outside of REM as well. But six if just considering REM.

depends on how long you sleep. rem is 90 minutes and you can have at least one dream per Rem.

average dream last 1 sec. and you can have in average 3 per minute..
but
you only remember 2% of them
so...

It depends on how hard you sleep and what your habits are. I love to dream when I can direct it.

I once read that the average was 8, even if you don't remember them.

i think it's depend to ur mind, the more it's busy, u'll more dreams and the less it's busy, the less u dream!
