Comes down to ignorance. People don't think it's a real sport, yet how many of them could handle Mach 4 in a turn and losing up to 20 lbs. per race because of heat and exhaustion. It's a shame!! Go Kasey #9!!!!

NASCAR is for every body that likes speed and HOT guys. Im a Redneck and i love Nascar, but i grew up around it. The people who dont like NASCAR or the Fans are so wrong, NASCAR is a way of life, How bad have you got it?

I don't enjoy NASCAR, but I don't find it's just for redneck hicks. Many people of different backgrounds seem to like it.

I'm a part-time redneck who has little time for NASCAR. I'd rather be out and about tooling around on the four wheeler on the logging trails, than stuck indoors watching the boob tube.

The same people who stereotype everything else. Considering the top markets come from LA and Philly then there's no argument for that. Look at the new wave of drivers;
Reed Sorenson, Kasey Kahne, Carl Edwards, JJ Yeley, Denny Hamlin and then there's Johnson, Stewart, Gordon, Newman, Kurt/Kyle Busch. Really it's more Northern Exposure than the South.

Pure stupidity! NASCAR isn't for rednecks. The drivers sure don't think they are rednecks (well, some of them are but I wont name any)! Look at all the ching they make!

Mmm, not so sure..But personally I don't really give a damn. I'm a redneck. Proud of it, and have been since before it became a popular thing. Been one all my life. Now what's stupid is that people think Rednecks are stupid.. UHH NO. I might not be the highest step on the ladder, but I don't think I"m stupid either..thanks.

it's easy to judge something that you've never watched/done,, we all do it,,I'm not a fan of tennis,,I dislike it,,,and since it was a sport that started in the south,,,everyone figures it to be a bunch of rednecks from the hills of Tennessee running moonshine during the week racing on sunday,,,today we have college graduates racing cars,,,so its not some "redneck" sport,,,I like NASCAR,,I live in IOWA,,and I'm not a redneck,,how about you?
