I am going to Turkey in a few days (Really looking forward to it) and I'm told that it's about 45degrees C there at the moment. I am concerned that it may be too hot to do anything at all and I have really pale skin that burns when I'm out in the sun at 25 Degrees. Does anyone have any suggestions that may help?

As suggested loose cotton clothing, sunscreen, good sunglasses (people tend to forget about the eyes) will help. Be sure to listen to your body and know your limits. If you become overheated rest and cool down. Take a backpack when walking with enough food, bottled water, or gatorade type drink for the day. Know the area or terrain that you are walking in. When outside the city ask locals about shady areas you can rest and where you can get medical help if needed. If you are healthy, vitamins C and E in combination may help. Do a little research and decide if vitamin supplements are right for you.

Use lots of sunscreen and wear a hat or scarf or wet bandanna. Don't forget your ears and the tops of your feet. That can be very painful. Also take a few of those little spray mist cans of evian or just a spray bottle with you. You can fill it with water and mist yourself down. Hope this helps.

Hat = v important! A proper wide-brimmed one, not a baseball cap. Also, if you burn really easily, it's best to cover up and wear loose clothing rather than just put on sun tan cream. Don't forget sunglasses!

Have fun :)

don't go out between 12-3pm try and stay this time in a cool place - don't go swimming at this time - you will burn to a crisp then.

wear long sleeves - light stuff - and always wear a hat -

and most of all have fun!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
