my pressures on my gauges check out fine, and the compressor is still good, it is not locked up or nothing, but it want engage. i jumped out the low pressure switch and that did nothing

You may just have a bad clutch on the compressor, or a bad connection to the clutch.

If the compressor isn't turning, how can you say the pressure on your gauges check out fine. You need to take this problem to a shop who has someone who knows what he's doing.

The connection right at the compressor is no good,or the a.c. switch in the car is bad, and I think there are several a.c. relays on the car which also have to be checked.

Check for broken or missing vacuum lines/hoses, they control the "doors" that allow the different mixtures of AC/Heat/Air into the system. Nye
