When you have given everything you have to give to try and make your relationship work and have reached the point where there are no more tears then it is time to divorce and move on with your life.

I think when you have gone either for yourself or as marital counseling to address the issues between you, and you have exhausted those avenues and daily feel so depressed, so deeply sad around this person............this all happens over a period of time. For sometimes, with time, you begin to see the goodness, signs of hope, and a possibility of a new beginning. However, if you can't get over the issues between you and it doesn't matter what they are, it matters to the two of you! Then, sit down and have that conversation with your spouse, communicate it clearly, set the guidelines, the boundaries, especially if you have kids too between the two of you under the age of 18! It saddens me to say this, but then find a good divorce lawyer or if you are amicable, a good divorce mediator(costs a lot less)and set it all in motion. It is going to take time so good luck. I pray for you, your marriage! You'll know when...........

ask yourself if you are better off with him/her or without him/her. That tells you right there. The fact that you feel sad on the break up is due to feeling of loss of the dreams and hopes you had - it has nothing to do with the person

When you ask that question to yourself, the time is probably right.
