It's a family curse for my cousin and myself. My dreams are far too realistic so when I started seeing the future in dreams I never perfected it. Now I'm left with the ability to see a parallel future. Events are the same leading up to an event but at some point, I've gone off on a tangent or a what-if.
My cousin on the other hand perfected his dream-like ability to manipulate the dream so he could see clocks and calendars so that he would know when something would happen. It's an awesome responsibility. He tries to be where he'll be needed or easily reached because of his dreams.
Have I ever asked him about my future?
No. We both shared a dream shortly after our grandmother died. She spoke through a dressing mirror and told us to be in a particular bedroom in her house on a certain night. She would explain the gift and the curse. Did we? Nope. Did we wish we had? H*ll, yes.

Since I never remember my dreams I'm never sure if I dreamed it before it happened or just a since of deja vu? I do know once I jumped up while in a sound sleep and was scared out of my wits. My wife asked if anything was wrong and I told her I didn't know why but I was just so scared out of my mind!! We went back to sleep and not 10 minutes later around 12:30 in the a.m. my younger brother called and told us my little sister had just been in a car accident!! She's completely o.k. but a very strange coincidence never the less!!

I have dreams that come true quite often. I can tell the difference between the two because when I have dreams like that they are so real that I don't expect to wake up. I'm actually surprised when i wake up. A month or so later it's like i'm reliving the dream, i know exactly what people are going to say and what's going to happen.

Yea, I dreamed about seeing a newspaper front page with a hotel on fire, and it was less than a month before the hotel burned.
Since then I get a few every year, it was really scary for a while but it settled down to something bearable.

I've done that before, mostly in school actually. I fell asleep during one of the classes and had a dream where the teacher was teaching us something. The next day, he taught us this and I understood it because some how, I taught myself in a dream.

I have had one very vivid dream of the future. Here it is:
I had a dream that i got out of bed and through the entire dream i was watching my self (so i saw my self get out of bed). I was instantly in the hall way of my house and i watched myself go into the living room. When i got there I looked under the couch and there was a diamond ring under it. When i woke up the next morning i went into the living room, looked under the couch, and there was the diamond ring i saw in my dream.

The day my brother was deployed to Iraq I had a dream that he came down my driveway, and I said, "I thought you were in Iraq." He said, "I am, but I have been given this chance to say goodbye. You're the only one who can hear me, so I wanted to come see you." In my dream I kind of just accepted that, and we talked for a while, and he said he was proud to serve his country. And that he didn't regret any sacrifice he would have ot make, then he said he had to go.
6 months later he died in Iraq. Inever had the chance to talk to him again during those 6 months.
