I think that it should be legalized throughout the united states. If a woman does not mind usingher body this way, then it should be her decision. I think, however, it should be taxed and ran like a legitiamte business. They should be required medical exams and so forth. I am a very open minded... American business woman. I see no problem with this as long as no one is felt like they are degrading themselves. and I suggest a safe as possible enviroment..

Not a victimless crime, not by a long shot. Everyone from the prostitute to the children of her clients will suffer.

Whores have been around since the dawn of society and there will probably alway be prostitution of some sort. I can't fully explain why some people seem to fall through the cracks and wind up doing things like this. There are so many factors and variables - upbringing, economic status, demographics, geographics, recessions, etc. It's sad that so many women feel this is the only way they can survive. Maybe if sex was painful instead of pleasant we all wouldn't be so hung up on getting some.

"Victimless crime"...no way! Most prostitutes come from abusive, drug or alcohol backgrounds, some were molested as children. There are some who are just plain stupid that wanted to make a few bucks the "easy" way...not so easy considering what you are doing to yourself.

Plain and simple, prostitution would not exist if men would have control over their own bodies and minds, they obviously don't. Reminds me of children, they don't have much control over either of those things.

Prostitutes, from a historical perspective, were widows or single women without family who could not support themselves. Sad. This was at a time when men looked upon women in their lives as nothing more than possessions, like an animal. And considering prostitution still exists, I guess maybe not much has changed from the male perspective, right?

There a victims ALWAYS with this activity, the women involved, their children, their families, the men's wives, girlfriends, families, children...etc., etc. What does this and all other sex-based garbage do to our society, well look at where porn is today. It is the number one addiction in this country and that has and is causing horrendous problems.

It should be legal, there are thousands of people out there, that are incapable of having a real relationship, wither it be from mental instability to something easily controlled. Just make it government mandated, clients have to pay for an STD test in advance, as well the prostitutes should be part of a union.

If both concent to the sex for money, and if no one is hurt, then its a victimless crime, only bad in the laws eyes.

I'm for prostitution, its been 4 years, still no girl, I say bring out the *******

If it's a crime, it's not victimless. Exploitation runs rampant, the women themselves are often the victims.

If it's not a crime, such as in Nevada, then I see nothing wrong with it. Sex is just a straighforward bodily function, like eating or peeing.

I think we ought to regulate and tax it. Just think of all the revenue the gov't is missing out on by not legalizing it! (okay, so they'd just spend it irresponsibly on wars and such) It's not a crime at all, unless the Ladies are being victimized by a pimp or such. Then there's a problem.

there are victims. many have been murdered. spread of disease. psychological problems.

not the decline of society because it has been around for ever. Prevents a lot of rapes for guys that don't get dates.
Can be fun to act out fantasies that conservative women would not do.

Prostitution is already legal. Ever been on a date?Man buys dinner, man pays for movie tickets, man buys drinks after, woman spreads.

Marriage is worse. Man buys van, man buys house, man takes expensive vacation, woman spreads.
