No way, the games are long enough! I think that would change the dynamic of the game too much, but I do think it needs to be in football!

The average game is somewhere between 2:50-3:00 I think... and using instant replay in the NFL for a single play takes between 5-10 minutes... considering all of the pitches, bang-bang plays, hone runs, and other calls that could possibly be challenged, games would take all day to finish. Besides, I would say that the umpires get at least 98% of the calls right.

No way. Some of the best parts of baseball comes in the controversy after the call. It's where rivalries come from, what adds spice to the game. Adding instant replay would make the game to mechanical. The allure of baseball is that there is still an aura of artistic properties to it. There is no clock, no mechanized pieces. It happens as it comes. No replay.

Yes, they should. I just saw a play in a game last week that was called an out. When they showed it on the tape, it clearly showed the ball had hit the dirt. This cost the other team a man on first.

Sorry, soxfan06, but I've never seen an umpire overturn a call because a manager came out and argued it.

NO!

Absolutely not!

The umpires usually get the right call 99% of the time.

Again, it is part of baseball's charm.

No, it is highly unnecessary. If a manager disagrees with a play wholeheartedly, he is allowed to argue with the umpire(s) and if they agree with him then the play can be overturned.
