Why do we have so much WAR in the World?

Although death is horrible, maybe war shifts the political structure of areas the way wind seeks to equalize Global temperatures?

Some wars are caused by poverty where people are dying and have nothing to loose if they fight to get something.

The majority of wars have been down to religion but expansionism is not that far behind.

Some wars down to greed (Kuwait)

In modern times it could come down to the desire for power and to seem mighty - Bin Laden and the like. Also to largely criminal elements. (The IRA and Protestant paramilitaries all exist on crime and the IRA has accumulated many, many millions of pounds more then they have spent on arms.)

But in the end it all boils down to mans inhumanity to man. Until mankind learns to tolerate other peoples beliefs and religions peace is impossible. Just look at the religious questions on 'Answers'.

We can only hope that with the growth of the availability of information, for instance on the Internet, the greater commonality of language and the growth of international travel that people will eventually learn this.

Power, greed, avarice, arrogance, intolerance.
Ultimately, the reason why there's so much war and pain in this world is because most of the human race hasn't figured out that we're all really a part of eachother, and when we do harm to another, we have harmed ourselves -- and in essence, believe that we are separate from our creator.
