What things do I need to take. We are riding the bus we can't take the cars or anything. It's just My Mother, My Niece, My two Nephews, and Me(I'm a Girl). We going to ride the bus to this park we always go to. But I've decided to plan a Picnic for them but I don't know what to pack or what to take it in. Does Walmart have any picnic baskets like? I plan on having this picnic sometime next month.

Try looking in the camping area at walmart. get a multi use cooler storage bag possably with wheels. the lower compartment is a cooler and you put some juices and teas in there with a little ice. Make some cold cuts and place them in there. The top is a dry area put you some plates fruits and some cups. Take a sheet to place on the ground or over a table. Also meybe for desert some snack cakes. keep it light , not enough to make a person to full but enough to keep them from being hungry and easy for you to travel with.

I'm in Texas, so maybe it's not as critical a thing for you, but I would recommend using an actual cooler instead of a picnic basket. You don't necessarily have to put ice in it if you've refrigerated everything you're going to eat, but you'll definitely want the insulation to help keep everything safely edible. (And I'd just go ahead and avoid anything that contains mayonnaise.)

Consider bringing juice boxes to drink. Freeze at least half of them the night before, and they'll be your ice and help keep everything cool. Then after they thaw, you can drink them. (That's why I recommend only freezing half - make sure you have some for right away too!)

Finger foods, like sandwiches, carrot sticks, hardboiled eggs, or pickles, mean you don't have to worry about packing silverware. It will also be easier for everybody to eat when sitting on the ground.

Definitely bring a sheet or blanket to set up on - the five-second rule is voided if something hits dirt!

Pretty much every major chain will probably have picnic baskets with silverware, dishes, etc. I know for sure Kohl's has them. I saw some there the other day when I went in. Walmart will more than likely have them as well. Be sure to ask for their seasonal department aisle. Have fun on the picnic!!

I think they do have them complete with forks and stuff.
You could make the preparation smother if you go to Subway or a sandwich shop and get a sub and cut it up in to smaller sandwiches and re wrap them in the smaller sections.
