There are several vertebrates with blood that is green in color as a result of a buildup of the breakdown products of hemoglobin. This is a natural state for these species.

Living things include plants and animals.plants do not have any blood.
In case of animals, only humans and some other vertebrates of higher level have red blood. This is because, only these animals have the pigment haemoglobin in the blood to carry oxygen, which gives it the red colour.in case of insects, the blood is not involved in transport of respiratory gases and the blood is therefore devoid of haemoglobin and gives a greenish appearance.
In case of birds, blood is usually green or yellow due to the same reason as above.

No ... red comes from the hemoglobin present in the blood ... there are organisms out there with hemocyanin in their blood, making their blood color BLUE.

Hemocyanin performs the same function as hemoglobin (oxygen transport). Horseshoe crabs and several arthropod species have this oxygen carrier in their blood.

no , definitely not ...........
your question makes some sense to me
actually red colour of the blood is due to the presence of homoglobin (heme + globin) of mol . wt = 68000 daltons whose main function is oxygen transport to the entire body tissues ...
this happens in humans as well as some animals
next , we can go to insects like ants and cockroaches and many othr insects ........ blood is colourless or pale straw coloured or greenish and etc...
the basic reason for colour change is due to Hb break products such as bilirubin(red) , biliverdin and bilicyanin(blue)
i am sure this must be the answer...
