He has been woeful in most of his comedic attempts. However, he has proven to be a good dramatic actor....Good Will Hunting, Dead Poet's Society, Fisher King, etc.

Like any other actor he has good and bad movies and some in between. There are other actors and actresses far less talented with far more publicity and honors.

i think he is a good actor. he may not be the best comedian ever, but he is extremely famous. i think that goes to show you how hollywood really is.

He's done pretty damn good for himself in many movies since the 70's. Maybe not as many people share your opinion as you think.
