That's a really big question, but here's a piece of interesting trivia that we are beginning to learn about the mind. Each emotion we feel is really a combination of naturally made hormones and chemicals that effect the body according to the emotion they represent. They have even found the compound that creates the feeling of love. So emotions aren't so much generated by the mind as they are by the endocrine system.
