Never bought one - I just brouse through them waiting in the grocery checkout but I have notice that 'natiional enquirer' is more credible in what it prints than 'Globe', 'National Examiner' and other tabloids.
e.g. when National Enquirer climes a 'Cancer Shocker' there is at lease a mole removed from the celebrity's neighbour's A**.

CAn those who live and die by these tabloids, please shed some liche on the issue?

Yes, about 10 or so years ago I bought one and it claimed that they had changed their standards to print accurate happenings in order to improve their customer satisfaction, or credibility ratings, or something like that. I assumed that they had been sued one too many times and couldn't afford the rising costs of litigation. Pretty much everything in that issue did seem to be true, so maybe they have stuck to that.

NO, basically they are all trying to get you to read the magazine and buy, buy , buy so that they can make money. It is the bottom line that they care about. BUt it goes both ways, if people buy the most outragoues the story they will continue to print those kinds of stories. It all comes down to supply and demand.

No, it is not creditable. It is solely for entertainment. Can't get my mother to see that though, she is a long time subscriber!! Believes everything she reads.
