yes
judging right or wrong is an important faculty- discrimination- we even specialized a part of our brain for making such decisions(the pre-frontal cortex). it is necessary for our survival, and our identity as humans and individuals.
it helps you think and make your own decisions and if you use your discernment regularly and conscientiously you get a sense of power....a mastery over self and the courage to stand up for what you believe in.
i think we should exercise our brains to make the right decisions every time ....in matters of self and of others...just making sure u judge others by the same standards u set for yourself .
i think immorality stems from disrespect to others sense of judgement and arrogance...that begets its own rewards
so one need not worry about dispensing justice but just make sure u make ur own decisions weighing everything and dont get lazy so that u can escape from forming an opinion for yourself about issues...

I have yet to discover anyone with the ability of sentencing someone to eternal damnation.
Liberals have been taught to not be judgmental and that is why they have a hard time determining right from wrong, good from evil. They don`t even understand the concept nor its ramifications.
here is an example,
WAR IS BAD!
True war is bad for the soldiers that fight it and the innocents that get in its way. However without the civil war and the British declaring war on slavery the slaves around the world would not have been freed.
America has freed 1 billion people since 1945 through war or threat of war. That is not because we enjoy war but because only by killing the enslavers do people become free. 61 million people have been given the chance of freedom as a result of the war on terror. 30 million of them women.
Not 1 country has been freed with peace and love, and War is bad.
Another example:
Gay Marriage.
If you support gays being married then the ramification is that gay lifestyle be taught to your children as normal and good in school. If you want your child to experiment in the gay community
then by all means turn a blind eye. You say I`m wrong? This year the National Education Association are endorsing homosexual marriage at their convention in Orlando Florida June 29 through July 6.
The new NEA proposal essentially says schools will support and actively promote homosexual marriage in their local school systems.
Marriage is an honored position that is meant for the procreation of children and the establishment of a blood line, and nothing else. Gays don`t make children nor do they produce blood lines.
One must be able to be judgemental to determine if a behavior is good or bad, your life and your childrens life can depend on it.

People feel they have a right to judge others. Morality is in the eyes of the beholder. We shouldn't judge others its not our place. I always like the parable of le mis, of how the man stole a loaf of bread to feed his starving family. Morals all have a utilitarian filter as to where what is right and wrong depends on the amount of happiness over the most amount of people. Actaully judging people isn't so bad its just words the consequences we force on those are where the problem lies. Why do child molesters get 2-3 years with good behavior but if I sell a little pot I get sentenced to 5 years with a narcotics charge. Rapists will see on average a 3 year sentence for a first time offense where as if a first time narcotics charge for possesion of crack will land you 5 years indefinetly.

Yes I agree.......
Jesus said "Do not judge, otherwise u will be judged by the same standard"
So if u judge, be ready to be judged. If u realize this, u will understand the that if u r immoral then u must not judge others to be immoral.
And if u behave in a way do not judge and sentence people to eternal damnation , because u will be damned 2

I agree. Jesus taught that only God has the right to sentence a person to Hell. Humans cannot pass that kind of judgement on a person because we can never understand the whole person or their entire life.
But of course, anyone can judge a particular action as good or bad, right or wrong. How else can one decide what to do, or give advice to someone else? Some behaviors are obviously harmful to the actor or to others; one would have to be brain-dead to not judge those actions as undesirable.

I agree with your first part, it is required that people's behaviour be judged as right or wrong, otherwise a murderer could say you cant judge him for murdering and he could go on murdering. As for sentencing someone to damnation, I dont think we humans should tell people that just based on our judgement, we need someone of higher authority, but only to someone of a common faith. This would be pointless to say to an atheist: "God will send you to hell for having sex with multiple people!", because they dont believe in a God. I think that you can only use that kind of judgement on people that are of the same faith, otherwise it will be wasted and pointless. If you do pass out this kind of judgement though you must prepared for your ownself to be judged, because according to Jesus that is what will happen.

The problem is that people judge others without knowing full details - make snap decisions about people, and come to hasty generalizations/stereotypes without having all of the facts. Also, what one person might feel is wrong another person might feel is perfectly fine. How can we judge them if they think they are doing nothing wrong?
