I would like a constructive response. I have a ouija board, it doesn't work, my dad, mom, husband, grandmom, granddad, my sister and a few other family members have seen ghosts. Some have had bad experiences others good. I've always wanted to see one and never have. I'd love anyone to give me ideas or tips on how to open my mind (or whatever it is you do) or steps to take to see a ghost. Thank you all!

You may well be wanting it too much. That can affect your ability to 'see'.(can't see the wood for the trees, for example)
Try meditating in a haunted place, if you know of any? You could also try a graveyard - my most vivid experience was in one, although I later found out the church there had been closed down for some time due to 'questionable' practices within it!
I certainly would not recommend a Ouija Board to anyone who does not have lots of Occult learning and even then, I would advise caution. Ghosts cannot physically hurt you - Entities can. Ouija Boards are for Entities and are like metaphorically kicking down the 'door' to another dimension, as apposed to opening it with your hand on the knob, ready to close it should things go awry.
So basically, just relax somewhere there may be spirits and let them come to you. Ever heard of EVP? If you have no luck, that may be an avenue you could try with regards to an encounter.
Do be careful though, I have seen people who were complete skeptics be so affected by things they have witnessed they had to spend time in counseling and a psychiatric hospital. Mental trauma is usually worse than anything physical!

I'm not sure if seeing ghosts is an innate talent or an acquired skill. For me, I try to stay relaxed, but alert. When I sense "something" I just stop and pay attention. It's usually nothing, often a figment of imagination. (glimpses out of the corner of your eye, etc. I would totally discount. If you want to see something bad enough, you will.) I'm 47. In all that time I've only seen two. (By "seeing", I mean a clear, full-color, unquestioned physical image). One at dusk, the other in broad daylight.
Stop trying so hard. Relax. Pay attention. Be patient.

you idiot!!!! YOU USED A OIJA BOARD!!!!???? a oija board is a dangerous thing not a kids toy! that board of yours does work. but, not in a good way. those "toys" open doorways. it's supossed to help you comunicate with the spirits however, this also makes your body valnurable to any spirit that comes through that doorway you created. wheter it be kind, wether it not be kind. you wanna see ghosts, go to a hipnotist and tell him to make you more open to your surroundings. btw, it may SOUND cool, but it's terrifying. hope you enjoy your precious gift. for it comes at a cost.

I have seen ghosts but usually when you see a ghost its out of the corner of your eye. you know when it looks like someone walked past a doorway but there's nobody around.
first you have to be able to feel their presence its like when you feel like someone is watching you but theres nobody around so if you learn to feel energy also they seem to be attracted to things like the smell of food cooking, movies and especially people talking about them

I don't know if you can take "steps" to see ghosts...Most people who have seen them just "happened" upon them, purely on accident. Stop me if I'm wrong though...I'd like to see one too :)

When dealing with ghosts and whatnot, you don't have much say in what's going to happen. You can't just "choose" to see them......they kinda have to let you.
'Course, that's the theory.

Apply dogs tear to your eyes at nightime and make sure that you are at an open field or near jungle.....bend your body foward and look through between your legs.......
I dunno if it really works because i've never tried it before. I read it somewhere..........
Caution: Once you do this there is no turning back.....you will see 'them' forever..........
