If two consenting adults love each other and decide to enter into a relationship, why do others interfere?

I am referring to relationships that interfering busybodies can't seem fit to leave well alone.

True love between two adults...

interracial
different religious backgrounds (Example, Jewish and Christian)
gay/bi
old and young (Example 25 and 65)

This answer is very quite easy, It does not matter what anyone thinks as the only opinon that matters should be your own.
People get involved because they are either are over concerned for your well being and dont want you to get hurt or they are bitter individuals who just because they screwed up there own lives thinks that it gives them a right to screw up yours as well.
In my opinion race / religion / age (after consenting age not before) do not matter, in the words of John Lennon all you need is love! everything else can be sorted out.

It pretty much comes down to age I think. The oldest generation at the moment do not approve of any 'different' relationships (I am of course generalising here so please dont be offended if you are not like this!) The next oldest generation (40's and 50's) don't mind as much but still find these things quite hard to come around to and our generation (teens 20's 30's) tend to be much more openminded towards any sort of relationships and i live in hope that with the youngest generation it will be considered as 'normal', whatever normal actually is!! Sorry if this answer is a bit vauge and long winded i was trying to work things out in my own mind at the same time!

Because this society is filled with conservative, narrow minded prudes that have descended through the years under the same guidelines of the Puritan faith who initially colonized the US. Wyas to avoid it, until Bush leaves office, no way to avaoid it, not sure if a Democrat can restore sanity if elected. May want to try moving to Canada.

Exactly life is WAAAAAy too short to bother with mean people who are closed minded. If 2 people love each other then ....let them love each other. Why do people care so much. They don't have to be in the relationship. As long as nobody is getting hurt and love is in the air it shouldn't be a problem.
