McDonalds used to have a sandwich called the Mc DLT, with the hot side and the cold side and you put them together.....they stopped making them a long time ago. Well my husband and I went to a McDonalds in St. Thomas, US Virgin Islands, and they had that sandwich!!!!! My husband was so shocked I thought he was going to wet himself :) Does anyone know why they don't serve it in the states anymore????

I remember that sandwich and I must agree with the others people are to much in a hurry theses days it takes time to arrange the sandwich together besides I think they try new things all of the time to see how the public reacts to it never know it may return esp. with some people diet crazed it is much easier to remove what you don't want on the sandwich when it is laid open for you not so messy

I think they stopped selling it in the states because it didn't work. Unless they were able to keep their food lines going fast enough, some of the pre-prepared McDLTs would sit under the heat lamp wilting the lettuce, thus making the cool side warm. Silly idea really. If they wanted to do it right, they would have made each one to order kind of like Wendy's. But of course, any burger with toppings that isn't eaten immediately will end up wilting the lettuce.

I remember getting those. They were pretty good. I guess they didn't sell very well so McDonald's pulled the product here in the States. However they do have the Arch Deluxe which kind of resembles the McDLT.

I miss it as well it was my favorite sandwich. People in the US didn't like it because it meant that they had to put it together before they ate it. Today the world is made of convienence. That was not a convienence item. So the McD's in the US got rid of the sandwich. When I served in the Navy the McD's in other countries still carried it.
