I never apologize at work. I lead a bunch of Web Developers and I never apologize for anything even though I know I'm wrong. They will take that and use it against you later indicating it was your own fault.
I think it really depends on your position in the company. About 9 men work for me, but only 2 women. I have yet to hear a man say "I'm sorry". They usually try to justify their reasons or they say they made a mistake and they will fix it, but I have never heard an apology from them.
Its a sign of weakness, and I dont think most men want to show their sign of weakness..especially if you work in a pretty big corporate company.
Its sort of like when you get into a driving accident. Even though you are in the wrong, you should NEVER say "I'm sorry" cuz then it makes you liable.

If you do something wrong, or make a mistake, it is never wrong to say "I am sorry" to any person your actions have affected.
It IS, however, to use the phrase "I am sorry" in a patronizing or arrogant manner.
IF you say you are sorry to a woman and MEANT it, and things get worse because of it, SHE is wrong, since proper manners dictate that she should accept your apology, if nothing else, to show that she practices etiquette.

well...its a complex question for a few reasons..not all women are the same..and women's wants contradict...i mean. they want you to be sincere..and want you to say sorry..but once you are..they think you're just full of it.. so you are better off just leaving things alone. and let the moodswings come and go..and before you know it..things will get better

Depends on the scenerio. If they did it and are sorry, than yes they should apologize.
if they are innocent, there is no reason for them to say sorry.

Depends on what you are saying "I'm Sorry" for.
If it's nescesary , then, Yes, you should.
If you're saying "I'm Sorry" for everything, then , No
