Look it up on Ebay. Type in 1918 copper penny, click on the completed listings, and that should give you a good idea of how much it would be worth.
Actually I just did it and I saw one going for .91...it didn't sell though.

It may be worth something, depends on the style and what is on the back. I don't know for sure what was used to make pennies in that year so check the source below. If it is a "wheat penny" it should be worth something.

I hate to tell you this but the most you will get is face value, the only way you will get more is if you sell it to a coin collector or on ebay.
