Both You can't hae one w/o the other. You can give a driver the best car, but if he can't drive it..it ain't gonna win. Also, you can have the best driver but if they screw up in the pits and dont' get them out, or screw the car..yeah, you ain't gonna win either. There are some tracks in which the driving is a bit easier and more depends on the pits, but like I said.. you always have to have both,.

i would say races are won on and in this order

Pits
calculations/ strategy
driving

the drivers are mostly of the same caliber, driving relatively similar cars

it comes down to how fast the pits function and calculating pit usage,

Both pitting correctly is important but driving skills win races.
